Over the past three decades, founder DG Elmore has expanded the investment portfolio across a wide range of industries and assembled an experienced management team, growing Elmore Companies into one of the premier acquirers of small, lower middle-market firms.
As a family office without limited partners, we have more flexibility in regards to deal structure and have no need for an exit instead choosing to manage and reinvest in our companies. Typically, we invest in smaller companies that have been intentionally overlooked by other private equity firms, who do not have the experience to take on the inherent risks involved with purchases of this size.
Historically, our investments have ranged in size, location, and industry, but typically we acquire niche business-to-business firms with revenue between $3 and $10 million, often from the founders. We strive to work with owners who desire to ally with a partner that will pull up alongside them and play an active and hands-on roll in taking the company to the next level.
